A potted history
Born in Victoria BC, I set out to see the world shortly after my 17th birthday. I lived in four major Canadian cities before returning to Vancouver where I settled down, took my CGA, and decided that I'd found my place on the planet. Then, one cold March day while scuba-diving in Howe Sound, I met and fell in love with a wild colonial boy. After five years of futile resistance I moved to Melbourne, Australia and married him.
While living Down Under, I started writing fiction. Some of my adult short stories have been published in different anthologies in the US and Australia. I have had poetry published in Quills Canadian Poetry magazine.
Once the cork was out of the bottle, random imaginings quickly dominated my consciousness. If I'm not actually writing now, then I'm watching the world and thinking about my next story.
Many years later I returned to Canada. As a resident of North Vancouver, I led the local Young Writers’ Club for many wonderful sessions. An impulsive decision saw me moving back to Victoria in 2014.
In late June 2012, I signed my first book contract. You can read about it here. My debut novel, Lockdown, was released in April 2014.
